Date of birth
Keith was born on 13th September 1985 and started his career within the youth team setup at Wolverhampton Wanderers
He made his debut for Wolves in a League Cup match against Rochdale in 2004, and despite making 14 appearances for the midlands outfit, he found first team opportunities hard to come by.
He spent numerous loan spells away from Molineux, most notably at Port Vale where he made 28 appearances for the Valiants, scoring three times in the process.
Lowe was released by Wolves in 2008 when he joined Kidderminster Harriers. He was an almost an ever present at Aggborough during the 2008-09 season, yet was released the following summer due to the financial hardship being experienced by the club at that time.
A short spell followed at Hereford United before Keith moved to Whaddon Road – home of Gloucestershire outfit, Cheltenham Town.
Lowe cemented himself as the club’s first choice right back and became a fans favourite – so much so that they voted him as their Player of the Season at the end of the 2010-11 campaign.
Keith made 111 appearances for The Robins, yet towards the end of 2013 he was loaned out to York City.
He made an instant impression at Bootham Crescent, and it was not long before The Minstermen signed him up on a permanent deal. Once again, he became a fans favourite and made just under 100 appearances for York, until he left the club by mutual consent towards the end of 2015.
Lowe rejoined Kidderminster at the start of 2016, despite having received offers from higher league teams. Despite Harriers being relegated from the National League at the end of the 2015-16 season, Keith stayed at Aggborough as they attempted to return at the first time of asking.
Despite losing out in the playoffs, Lowe was named in the Conference North Team of the Year, and yet he was told that he could leave the club at the end of the season.
It is at this point that John Askey made his move, and Keith signed for The Silkmen in the summer of 2017.
Keith became a fans favourite as he played every moment of the 2017/2018 season and became a crucial aspect of The Silkmen’s central defence, as well as scoring a crucial winner away at Hartlepool United in December 2017.
Lowe’s efforts were rewarded at the 2017/2018 Player of the Year awards where he collected the Players’ Player of the Year award, The Star Lane End Player of the Year award and the Wraggs to Riches Player of the Year award.
In June 2018, Lowe signed a one year deal with the club and we look forward to Keith playing another crucial role during the 2018/2019 season.
