Jared Hodgkiss

Date of birth

Jared started his career at The Hawthorns, as he progressed through the illustrious youth setup at West Bromwich Albion.

He made his debut for the club on 17th January 2006, as part of The Baggies FA Cup Third Round tie at reading.

Shortly after, Jared was to make his Premier League debut as he came on as a substitute to replace Steve Watson at Goodison Park.

After signing a two year contract with the Premier League outfit the following summer, Jared made his full top flight debut in December 2007 against Leicester City.

Although Jared was predicted by many to reach the top, he found First Team appearances at The Hawthorns hard to come by and loan moves to Aberdeen and Northampton Town ensued.

Jared was released by The Albion in the summer of 2009 and the following October he joined Forest Green Rovers - where he was to make 164 appearances for the Gloucestershire side.

Jared proudly wore the captain's armband at The New Lawn, until he joined Kidderminster Harriers in 2014.

Over one hundred appearances later, Jared signed for The Silkmen in the summer of 2017 and was handed the captain's armband by John Askey shortly after.

He led the club to our scintillating National League triumph in 2018 and remains an incredibly important part of our squad back in the EFL.

Jared is an energetic and committed defender, who gives his all for the club every single week.

He is undoubtedly a fans favourite and much of that stems from his relentless will to win which is a fundamental part of his game.
