David Fitzpatrick

Date of birth

In 2010, the reliable left back made the move across Cheshire to join our old Conference rivals Northwich Victoria.

Whilst at the Victoria Ground, Fitzpatrick went out on loan to New Mills before making the move permanent in 2012.

David impressed at New Mills, so much so that then Conference side Southport made their move for him twelve months later.

Fitzpatrick again impressed at Haig Avenue and he was called up to the England C side shortly after.

The defender made 76 appearances for the Sandgrounders before Sir John made his move back in September 2015.

Since then, David has been a consistent and hardworking defender for the Silkmen and signed a new twelve month extension with the club during the summer of 2017.

During the 2017/2018 season, Fitzpatrick was an ever present in the Silkmen’s title winning side and scored the final goal in the Moss Rose outfit’s 4-1 win over Wrexham on a snowy December day.

In May 2018, Fitzpatrick signed a two year deal with the club and we look forward to seeing more consistent displays from ‘Fitz’.
