Versatile midfielder Ryan Lloyd joins the Silkmen after 6 years at Port Vale. Lloyd’s playing career began at the Vale, having played in the clubs under-9 side. He made his first team debut at just 17 years of age in a 7-2 win over Morecambe.
In 2013, Ryan joined Conference Premier Club Tamworth in search of more regular first team football. After 6 games for Tamworth, he returned to Port Vale. In 2015, Lloyd secured a one month loan spell at Chester FC, where he impressed enough to extend his stay for the entire season.
Returning to Chester the following season, Ryan made 41 league appearances in his final loan spell with the club. After leaving Port Vale, John Askey quickly swooped to sign Lloyd on a two-year deal.
