Defender, who’s playing career began in the youth ranks at Manchester City. Kennedy was a regular in the elite development squad however found first team opportunities hard to come by. In 2013 he secured a loan move to Leicester City and made a number of appearances for the under 21 squad. Having impressed, Leicester chose to sign him permanently for the 2013/14 season.
With the club being newly promoted to the premier league, first team opportunities were slim and Kieran joined Motherwell on a trial basis at the beginning of the 2015 season. Motherwell boss Ian Baraclough decided to sign the ex-Leicester man on a two year deal.
After featuring regularly during his first season in Scotland Kennedy suffered injury problems in the 2016/17 season and after a brief spell with AFC Fylde signed for Macclesfield in July 2017.
