Wilson Staying Positive Despite Defeat

Scott Wilson says the squad are still in great spirits despite their first loss in seven games against Dagenham and Redbridge on Tuesday evening.

The Silkmen faced two difficult away trips over the space of four days, and despite a big result at Leyton Orient, couldn’t manage to pick up the points against the Daggers.

“Of course we’d won 10 out of 12 games before this loss so we are in good spirits,” said Wilson. “It’s only one defeat, away from home against a good Dagenham squad. They’ve got a good team and it is only one defeat, so it’s not the end of the world. We just need to bounce back now on Saturday.

“We had a few chances ourselves and it was a tight game. It was always going to be decided by a single goal I think and they managed to get it, but like I say it could’ve gone either way.

“The trips weren’t ideal but we’ve got fresh lads coming in and we’ve just got to keep going. It shouldn’t be a problem at all.
