Saturday is a chance for National League leaders Macclesfield Town to extend their lead at the top, but they will face a tough Ebbsfleet side who themselves are in a good run of form.

Silkmen TV spoke to assistant manager Steve Watson ahead of the fixture.

He said: “Ebbsfleet are a very good side and they are tough to beat. I think they have a record of just one defeat in more than 30 games, something crazy like that. They have had a lot of draws but not many teams can beat them, but we couldn’t be any more confident going into the game.

"The players are in good form and condition physically and mentally so from our point of view we will be looking to go and win the game.”

The Silkmen go into the game with no injury concerns, but Watson admits the effort levels from players in the last couple of victories could lead to fatigue.

“There were a few tired legs at the end of the game against Guiseley but you look at the bench and it’s strong. You could always replace people who have given everything. That’s all we can ask of the lads, don’t leave anything out there and if you are shattered after 75 minutes we have got people who can come in and do a great job.”
