Assistant Manager Steve Watson is expecting another tough test as we travel away to Solihull Moors this Saturday. His side will be looking to bounce back after our loss to Woking with a full weeks training under their belts.
Watson spoke to SilkmenTV about the upcoming fixture: “It was a good game there last year. It was once again edge of the seat stuff. We are confident going into the game as we always are.”
The manner of the defeat to Woking provided plenty of positives, with the Silkmen unlucky to come away with anything less than a win. Watson was keen to emphasize this as they go into Saturday’s game.
“If I was standing here and we were playing badly then I would be a lot more worried. I think even by the reaction of some of the fans and most of the people that went to the game (against Woking) that I have spoken to, we are all scratching our heads as to how we have lost. But that can’t happen many more times and if we dominate games like we do and the penny drops in front of goal then we will win a lot more games than we will lose.”
