Assistant manager Steve Watson is keeping his fingers crossed over the injuries to Elliott Durrell and George Pilkington.

The duo were forced off in the second half of last night’s 1-1 draw with Hartlepool and speaking to Silkmen TV after the game Steve gave provided an update on their condition.

He said: “Elliott’s turned his ankle quite badly. He’s going to get a precautionary x-ray to check it’s nothing too sinister, but it’s a big blow.

“Pilks jarred his back just before half-time. It’s an injury he missed a few games in pre-season with so so that’s another concern for us.

“But we’ve got a strong squad and Kieran (Kennedy) came on and did great, it was good to get some minutes in for Koby (Arthur) who came on for Elliott.” “We’ll have a look at it again for Saturday and see if we can reshuffle the pack and see who is fit and who isn’t”
