Macclesfield will be looking to get back to winning ways after last week’s loss away at AFC Fylde.
The Silkmen were 11 games unbeaten heading into their trip to the North-West and despite the defeat, still sit top of the National League.
Here’s all you need to know as we host Torquay United at the Moss Rose this weekend.
Goalkeeper Shwan Jalal is expected to return to the starting XI after coming on as a half-time substitute at Fylde last weekend. Jalal had missed some time due to suspension after he picked up a red card against Sutton United.
Jared Hodgkiss is still a doubt, and John Askey will assess his squad ahead of an important game.
Last Time Out: Torquay United 0-1 Macclesfield Town (23/09/17)
Macclesfield defeated Torquay earlier in the season thanks to a goal from top scorer Scott Wilson.
The high-flying forward scored just after the break, capitalizing on an error by Myles Anderson to round goalkeeper Vincent Dorel before slotting home.
One To Watch: Jamie Reid
Reid is the Gulls top scorer this season with five goals to his name so far.
The 23-year-old forward started his career with Exeter City, before spells with Dorchester Town, Torquay and Truro City on loan. He moved permanently to United at the start of the season, hoping to establish himself in the team. He will be a threat to John Askey’s chosen backline.
