Maidstone sign Hull City striker on loan

Maidtsone United have signed Hull City striker Greg Luer on loan. The centre-forward signed for the club in January 2015 but has made just nine appearances. The 23-year-old has had spells on loan to Port Vale, Scunthorpe United and Stevenage, and his contract with Hull runs out at the end of the season. Maidstone will be hoping Luer can score the goals to ensure they stay up this season, with the Stones currently in 16th place.

Maidstone manager Jay Saunders said: “Our options at centre-forward are limited, I think he is someone who will score goals.”

Leyton Orient release Ochieng and Clark

Leyton Orient have released midfielder Henry Ochieng and defender Michael Clark. 19-year-old Ochieng came through the O’s academy and has made five appearances this season with a total of 13 for the club.

Clark, 20, had loan spells at National League South side East Thurrock after struggling for game time, and made just 12 appearances for the Stones. The duo join Aron Pollock, Freddy Moncur and Jamie Sendles-White who have all left the club this year.

Interest in Manager’s job at Wrexham

Wrexham director Spencer Harris has claimed the managerial vacancy at the club has created plenty of interest following the departure of Dean Keates to League One side Walsall. Andy Davies and Carl Darlington are currently in caretaker charge until Keates’ replacement is found.

“My phone has already been busy. The phone call I got was five minutes after the news went up on the website,” said Harris.

The Dragons are currently fifth in the National League seven points behind the Silkmen.
