Daggers miss out on Jordan Maguire-Drew
Last season Jordan Maguire-Drew played a vital role in helping Dagenham and Redbridge reach the play-offs. The winger, on loan from Premier League Brighton, scored 15 goals for the club as he played a starring role in the club’s campaign.
He clearly impressed other clubs in the league too, as this week the wide man has signed for National League champions Lincoln City as he makes the jump up to football league level.
Imps boss Danny Cowley was quick to praise his new signing saying;
“He has an unbelievable left foot, he’ll help us improve a lot.”
Orient sign Elokobi
Leyton Orient recently hired former Crewe boss Steve Davis to fill the vacant managerial role at Brisbane Road and he’s wasted no time delving into the transfer market as George Elokobi has joined the O’s on a two-year contract.
The central defender has represented many clubs in his career, but most famously Wolves as he helped the club achieve promotion to the Premier League in 2009. He also spent time with Oldham Athletic and Colchester in the football League.
He joins Orient alongside striker Macauley Bonne who left Colchester with Elokobi in the summer.
New Tranmere signing James Alabi scores five on debut.
Last week James Alabi left Chester for Tranmere Rovers. The striker has joined Micky Mellon’s team after having one of the best seasons of his career, with the forward scoring 18 goals in total last season.
He made his debut for Tranmere in a friendly away at Cammell Laird this week and continued his goal scoring form. Alabi scored five goals in just one half as the Birkenhead club romped to a 11-0 victory.
The fee for James Alabi is set to go to a tribunal as both clubs couldn’t reach an agreement to sell the player. He will also link up with former Silkmen midfielder Ollie Norburn, as he too joined the club in summer.
