Macclesfield travel to Stourbridge this weekend as both teams battle it out to reach the first round of the 2017/18 FA Cup. Here is all you need to know about the game at the War Memorial Athletic Ground.
John Askey has hinted that he may freshen up his side for this weekend’s game in the Midlands. Tyrone Marsh, Scott Burgess, and Koby Arthur could all be pushing to feature for the Silkmen.
Last Time Out
This is the first meeting between these two sides since the 1980/81 season, where they met in the first qualifying round of the FA Cup.
This weekend’s home side, Stourbridge, ran out winners that day with a 6-2 victory. Andy Deeley netting four times, on that occasion, for the Glassboys.
We have been handed an allocation of 400 tickets for the game.
Senior citizens (65 and over): £10
Juniors/young adult (13-18): £10
Children (12 and under): £5
All Silkmen supporters are advised to purchase tickets in advance of the game. Entry for away supporters will be via the Main Archway entrance, opposite Vets For Pets, on High Street, Amblecote.
How To Get There
Car: Head down the M6 and on to the M5. When you reach junction three, take the A456 exit to Kidderminster. Continue along the A456 until you get to Stourbridge road and turn right. At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto Hagley Rd/A491 until you reach pitch view lane. The ground will be on your left.
Driving time estimated: 2 hours and seven minutes.
Train: Macclesfield – Wolverhampton – Smethwick Galton Bridge – Stourbridge Junction.
The time you’ll spend on the train estimated: one hour and 49 minutes.
