Dagenham and Redbridge manager John Still insists his side will respect Macclesfield Town’s achievements when they visit Moss Rose tomorrow.
The Richly-experience Daggers boss was speaking ahead of tomorrow’s contest – the final action of the 2017/18 National League season.
His 11th placed outfit will travel to a Macclesfield side that were crowned champions last weekend, and he says their achievements must be respected when the game gets underway.
He also reserved praise for his opposite number, John Askey, who he says has done a fantastic job this season.
Speaking to the Official Daggers YouTube channel, Still said: “First of all, we will pay them every respect for winning the league.
“John Askey has done a great job there and we’ll go there and be very respectful of their achievements.
“We’ll play the game and we’ll aim to give the supporters something to shout about. When it’s over we’ll ensure that we get off the field as soon as we can because it’s their day, but the people attending deserve to watch a good game of football and it will be our aim to give them that.
“We’ve been in this situation before and we’ll make sure we compete on Saturday, but they deserve to enjoy the occasion.”
