Steve Watson confirmed that Macclesfield have a fully fit squad to choose from going into Saturday’s game with Aldershot Town.

Furthermore, Watson says that the players are ‘raring to go’ ahead of what will be a tough challenge against fellow play-off hopeful’s Aldershot.

Steve took some time out to speak with on how the team is looking going into Saturday’s clash.

“Everybody’s okay and we have a fully fit squad. We’re raring to go in all honesty, because even though we’ve had set backs we’ve not lost a great deal of ground.

“Obviously, it’s easy to say if we’d had won XYZ we’d be top of the league, which is true, but a lot of teams can say that.

“All we’re saying is we’re still in it and we now need to get that elusive run of three or four games and then we’ll be in great shape.”

Through the season both John Askey and Steve Watson have alluded to the fact that good home form can be the key to success. Now, Steve says they’ve challenged the players to react to the previous defeat at Moss Rose and dominate at home, starting on Saturday.

“We were disappointed against Maidstone because against Woking we played well and created chances, but against Maidstone we weren’t good enough.

“The lads responded to the victory away (at Torquay) but we really need to dominate at home and that’s the gauntlet we really threw down to the lads today.”

“Our record away is as good as any team’s so far this season but home results need to improve and everybody has to help with that.”
