Macclesfield are looking to make it two wins in two games on Saturday as they look to follow up last week’s win over Torquay with another three points against Aldershot Town.
The Silkmen will also want to get back on track at home as they look to make Moss Rose into a fortress. But it will be no easy task.
Fellow promotion hopeful’s Aldershot Town come into the game in second place after a solid start to the season and Steve Watson says that they’ll be a difficult team to beat.
Speaking to mtfc.co.uk Watson said: “They’ve had a good season so far and I’d say that they were probably one of the strongest sides we’ve faced last season.
“But if we play to our potential, compete, be brave at home and be brave with the ball there’s no reason we can’t keep this run going.
Steve Watson also said that he and manager John Askey have challenged the team to be more consistent, but now with a fully fit squad available to play on Saturday, he says the onus is now on the starting eleven to keep their place in the team.
“It’s about consistency, but if you look at our bench on Saturday, it was full of players that could walk into teams in this league and could walk into our team.
“Some lads have shirts at the moment and the onus is on them to keep them.”
“Our record away is as good as any team’s so far this season but home results need to improve and everybody has to help with that.
“We have to help with that, as staff. The players have certainly got to do better at home and the fans can do everything they can to get behind us at home and we’re confident we can turn our home form around.”
