Steve Focussed On Bouncing Back

Silkmen assistant boss Steve Watson says things must change when the Silkmen face Dover at the Moss Rose on Friday afternoon.

Home form has not been bad for Macclesfield – they’ve picked up two points from two draws at the Moss – but Watson is calling on the squad to reward home fans with a victory heading into the bank holiday weekend.

Speaking ahead of the match with Dover, Watson said: “We need to look to get back to winning ways at home. Get the home win, settle everybody down and then we’ll get to Chester after that. The only game on our mind right now is Dover.

“The good thing about this league is we’ve got two games coming up quick fire. There’s no time to be doom and gloom, down in the dumps, it’s our job to lift the lads and they’ll have to lift themselves too and look forward to Friday and Monday.

“They’re games we’re looking to get points from – lots of points!”
