Macclesfield face Tranmere Rovers tonight at the Moss Rose and John Askey’s men will be wanting to extend their unbeaten run to three games.

The previous two games against Barrow and Boreham Wood have seen Macclesfield keep two clean-sheets and Shwan Jalal has eleven clean sheets so far this season.

Shwan has been speaking to Silkmen TV ahead of the Tranmere game and he says it’ll be a ‘great occasion’.

The keeper said: “Boreham Wood and Tranmere are two tough games and we’ve come through the Boreham Wood game with a point and Tranmere are another tough side.

“They’ll be coming here trying to get some points on the board so again it’ll be a great occasion and we’ve got to give a good account of ourselves and take the game to Tranmere on Tuesday.”

Jalal also spoke on how the side need to produce results in big games like tonight’s clash and wants to carry on picking up points in the National League.

“It’ll be a good atmosphere, but we’ve also got to produce, these are the games you really want to be playing in and we want to just keep getting points on the board.”
