Macclesfield will be aiming to get back to winning ways on Saturday as the Silkmen make the trip north to face Barrow.
Whilst Macc sit in third place, Barrow are currently languishing in a relegation spot. However, a win for either team would be massive as three points could lift Macc to the top of the table or Barrow out of the relegation places.
Ahead of Saturday’s clash, Ryan Lloyd has been speaking to mtfc.co.uk with his thoughts.
“The main thing is getting back to winning ways. To be honest I haven’t felt like we’ve been playing badly but I don’t think we’ve been putting our chances away so that’ll be the main thing to improve on.
“Confidence is still high, and our performances are still good but it’s just turning those performances into wins.
“Luckily the teams around us at the top have slipped up so that gives us a chance to get back to the top of the table tomorrow.
“If you look at the table were the third best team in the league and we’re only one point behind Wrexham and Dover, so hopefully we can pick up the points we need to and stay where we want to be.”
“Barrow will be a physical game and they’re quite a direct team but if we can deal with that I’m pretty sure we’ll have some chances and score some goals.”
The midfielder also spoke of how he’s settled in at the Moss Rose after joining this summer but has said getting results on the pitch is the main thing on his mind.
“I love playing my football here, but winning games at the weekend makes it even more enjoyable.
“You come into training happy and see that everyone’s happy. So that’s the main thing, getting results, and my happiness comes from that.”
