Manager John Askey has virtually full squad to choose from ahead of tonight’s game, with Jared Hodgkiss the only absentee with a groin injury sustained in training last Wednesday.
Askey is expected to name a similar side to the one that was victorious against Wrexham, with the likes of Noe Baba, and Keith Lowe in particular impressing.
Hartlepool have a couple of injury doubts ahead of the game. Full-back Blair Adams has a groin problem, but may still recover in time for the game, and midfielder Luke George has a hamstring injury but also hopes to return for the visit to the Moss Rose stadium.
Manager Craig Harrison may be tempted to make changes after their 1-0 opening day loss to Dover Athletic.
Last time out:
The last meeting between the two clubs was in League Two - an exciting encounter on the 27th February 2007 at Victoria Park. Hartlepool eventually won the game 3-2 with Jordan Hadfield and Carl Regan getting the goals for the Silkmen.
At the time Hartlepool were at the top of the table with Macclesfield down in 21st.
One To Watch: Padraig Amond
Arriving off the back of a storming season for Grimsby Town that led to promotion into League Two, Amond chose to return to the National League in 2016 with the Pools. He scored 37 goals in all competitions for The Mariners, undoubtedly a key element of their promotion. Despite the Pools struggling last season and ultimately being relegated, Amond still managed to net a respectable 14 goals when he was often deployed as a lone striker.
