On Saturday, Macclesfield take the trip to Berkshire as they prepare to take on National League new-comers Maidenhead United.
John Askey’s men will be looking to extend their current unbeaten run, which has seen the Silkmen assert themselves in the promotion mix.
Here is everything you need to know about both teams in the lead up to this match…
John Askey has virtually a fully fit team to choose from ahead of the game, after he said his players came through Tuesday night’s fixture against Tranmere unscathed. However, Askey said that there are one or two tired legs in the camp, so he could make changes to the team.
Maidenhead manager Alan Devonshire has recently seen his squad bolstered by players returning from injury. Most of his side are fully fit, leaving the ex-West Ham player with a selection headache.
Last Time Out:
This is the first time Macclesfield will play Maidenhead in a competitive game. With Maidenhead’s recent rise through the football pyramid, the club have never had the chance to play the Silkmen. The return fixture at Moss Rose will be played on the 24th February.
One to Watch: James Comley
Central midfielder Comley, joined Maidenhead from St Albans in February 2016. He was part of the side that helped Maidenhead win promotion to the National League and quickly became a fans favourite at York Road.
Comley has been described as “An attacking minded midfielder, who can burst up the pitch and make things happen.”
The Montserrat international was also in action for his country during the 2018 World Cup qualifying campaign.
