Macclesfield Town play host to Woking tomorrow afternoon as they look to extend their winning run to three matches and pile the pressure on their play-off opponents.
John Askey could have George Pilkington, Jared Hodgkiss, Josh Thompson and Ryan Lloyd available once again, with all players suffering varying injuries throughout the first month of the season.
Woking were without Joey Jones and Fabio Saraiva against Torquay last time out, and the while the former is facing a late fitness check, the latter is expected to miss further time out and subsequently not line up against the Silkmen.
Last Time Out
It was Woking who took the points last April in what was a crucial game for them in their pursuit of safety last season. Chris Holroyd’s stunning overhead kick which cannoned off the crossbar and a chance for Ollie Norburn weren’t enough to turn around Gozie Ugwu’s opener on the 61st minute.
Nonetheless, Woking’s trips to the Moss Rose have been less successful. Last season Macclesfield earned a 3-1 victory on their home soil.
One To Watch – Charlie Carter
A product of the Woking youth system, 20-year-old Charlie Carter is one of the club’s top scorers with two goals to his name already this season, despite not playing as much time as those around him in the Woking team.
Having only made his senior debut 12 months ago, Carter is rated very highly and told the club website that this year he hopes to really push on in his career.
