The Silkmen welcome AFC Fylde to the Moss Rose stadium Tuesday evening, following Saturday’s 1-0 win against Solihull courtesy of Scott Wilson’s goal.
Macclesfield go into the game full of confidence after Saturday’s victory, and they could be boosted by the return to fitness of Jared Hodgkiss who will be pushing for a place in the starting XI. Tyrone Marsh and Ryan Lloyd will also be looking to force their way back into the gaffer’s thoughts if they can overcome their injuries.
AFC Fylde’s manager Dave Challinor also has a pleasant selection headache after the introductions of youngsters Jonny Smith and Serhat Tasdemir made a positive impact in the Coasters last game against Bromley and will be pushing for starting berths. Fylde will be without striker Matt Blinkhorn as he serves the second game of his two-match ban.
Last Time Out
It is the first meeting between the two sides after Fylde’s recent rise up the non-league standings.
One to Watch: Danny Rowe
Danny Rowe is one of the National League’s most in-form players. He comes into the game at the Moss Rose having scored three goals in his last four games, with a tally of four for the season. The striker has scored an incredible number of goals in the lower leagues of non-league football, and finished last season in the National League North with 50. He looks to be successfully making the transition to the fifth tier of English football, and Fylde rejected a bid from Oldham for the player earlier in the transfer window.
