Macclesfield Town visit Leyton Orient looking for a sixth win on the bounce in all competitions. Victory will guarentee the Silkmen remain top of the National League and here’s all you need to know ahead of the trip to the Matchroom Stadium.
John Askey is facing no fresh injury concerns following the 5-0 demolition of Stourbridge in the FA Cup last weekend.
The Silkmen came through both that match and the following week of training unscathed, and will head in to the game with Orient full of confidence and with every man keen to get boots on the grass.
Last Time Out
The two teams last met almost 12 years ago, at the Moss Rose and in League Two. Both clubs may have dropped into non-league football since then, but nonetheless they will be eager to avoid a replication of the 0-0 result back in November 2005.
The last out and out winners of this fixture were Macclesfield, at the Orient ground in August 2005, where they ran out 2-1 winners.
