Macclesfield make the long trip down South to Dover this weekend in what could be another crucial match in the chase for promotion over the coming weeks. The Silkmen face the outsiders for promotion knowing a single Tyrone Marsh goal was enough to separate the two sides earlier in the season at the Moss Rose, but it will certainly be a difficult test.
John Askey is expected to have a virtually fully fit squad at his disposal this weekend, though he will check on the fitness of a couple of his players heading into the closing stage of what has been a very busy season. Callum Evans could come back into the Silkmen squad, but Ryan Lloyd is expected to miss out.
Dover could hand a debut to new loan signing Keanu Marsh-Brown who joined from Forest Green Rovers earlier this week.
Last Time Out: Macclesfield 1-0 Dover
Tyrone Marsh was the difference as Macclesfield edged a narrow victory at the Moss Rose in August. Marsh’s goal came just after half-time in what was a tight affair, but it was enough to earn the hosts the spoils and all three points.
One To Watch: Ryan Bird
Bird is Dover’s top scorer in the National League by an impressive five goal margin, Bird has already bagged 13 goals so far this season for the Whites. Standing at 6’4”, Bird is a presence for any defence, and one that Keith Lowe and George Pilkington will want to keep a close eye on.
