Posted:Fri 10 Nov 2017

Macclesfield travel to Barrow this weekend with three points up for grabs that could send them top of the National League once more. Here’s more on our opponents…

Team News

Macclesfield are expected to have a full team available, including new arrival Shamir Mullings who arrived from Forest Green Rovers on a two-month loan in mid-week.

Barrow could hand a start to former Norwich and Aston Villa striker Grant Holt also expected to be a part of the squad following his recent arrival to Ady Pennock’s side.

Last Time Out: Macclesfield 0-1 Barrow

Richard Bennett was the hero for the visitors last time out as his 66th minute penalty was the difference between the two sides.

Akil Wright was sent off for Barrow only minutes before the goal after receiving a second yellow card for his foul on David Fitzpatrick.

Chris Holroyd thought he’d earned a point for the home side with his goal in the 75th minute, but it was ruled out for offside.

One To Watch: Adi Yussuf

25-year-old Adi Yussuf has bagged five goals already this season for the struggling Barrow, and will be a certain threat potentially alongside Grant Holt.

Pilkington and Lowe are sure to have their hands full dealing with the former Leicester City stirker, who has turned out for eleven teams since graduating from the Foxes’ youth system six years ago.
