After scoring his first goal for the Silkmen, Tyrone Marsh spoke to SilkmenTV to discuss his thoughts on the game and his own performance.

The striker couldn't hide his delight at his winning goal and now hopes that the Silkmen can push on from the win.

He told Silkmen TV: “I think it went really well, that was against my former team too so it was nice to get a goal and win the game.”

"It makes it much sweeter, that’s the first time I’ve played against them so it was nice to get a goal and to get the win. We haven't lost at home yet so we are doing very well and it’s just nice to get a win, keep going and make this a fortress.”"

Marsh described his goal in the 49th minute that ultimately won the three points:

“I knew they were playing man for man everywhere on the pitch so I’ve tried to get away from my man and I know when Elliott gets it he is going to put a good ball in so I’ve made my run and then it’s zipped off the pitch and I’ve put my head on it. I’m looking for a lot more goals this season.”

Next up for the Silkmen is tomorrow’s Cheshire derby away to Chester. After Friday’s victory Marsh is looking forward to getting back on the pitch.

“I think all the boys will be up for it after a good win, and we are going there with high hopes to win the game. The more minutes we play, the team will start to gel and play better, and get to know each other more.”
