Coming off the back of four wins in four throughout February, March saw, Macclesfield continue their push for a stunning National League title and put some distance between themselves and the rest of the pack, scoring some beautiful goals in the process.
With that said, there is the matter of goal of the month award to be settled.
Macclesfield bagged nine goals in five games this month, with supporters asked to choose between crackers from Mitch Hancox, Elliott Durrell, Nathan Blissett and Tyrone March, with the majority of votes to be casted the winner.
With 63% of the votes, Elliot Durrell’s effort at Maidstone United wins the award. Durrell came in off the right-hand side under pressure, firing a shot towards the top-left corner with the outside of his right foot, watching it sail into the net to the amazement of on looking fans. Unfortunately it wasn’t the winner it deserved to be, with the game ending 2-2.
In second place with 32% was Tyrone Marsh’s goal against Woking, a fantastic volley with the instep across the keeper and into the top corner again.
