Knowing that a positive scoreline may see them promoted this weekend, Macclesfield Town are preparing to take on Leyton Orient at Moss Rose.
The 2-0 win away at Boreham Wood on Tuesday night left the Silkmen on the brink and should they better Tranmere’s result in some capacity at the weekend, they will return to the Football League after a six-year absence.
Here is everything you need to know about the game.
After a tough game on Tuesday night, John Askey will check on certain areas of his squad.
Ryan Lloyd is expected to continue to miss out and Elliott Durrell is doubtful but, otherwise, the manager will have no fresh injury concerns heading into the game.
Last Time Out - Leyton Orient 0-1 Macclesfield (21/10/17)
Scott Wilson netted the only goal in the game at Brisbane Road between these two sides earlier this season, keeping his side top of the table in the process.
The former Eastleigh man connected well to Elliot Durrell’s cross on the stroke of halftime to head home from five yards.
Macauley Bonne would go close for the home side on a couple of occasions, but the visiting Silkmen held on to move three points clear of Dover in second.
Key Man – Macauley Bonne
Despite having an off-day against Macclesfield earlier this campaign, Bonne is one man that may prove to be a threat during the game on Saturday.
Netting 20 goals throughout the course of the season, Bonne has proved to be a valuable signing for Leyton Orient since joining the club in the summer from Colchester United.
The Silkmen defence will have to be at their best to stop the forward who made his professional debut in 2013.
All ticket news for the game can be found here. We are expecting a big crowd, so please try and arrive early.
