Macclesfield Town host Barrow this weekend looking to make it five wins in a row. Their opponents, though, will come into the game looking for three points for very different reasons, as they look to ease their relegation fears. Here is everything you need to know about the game.

Team News

Ryan Lloyd remains the only absentee for John Askey, who will look for his squad to do the business once again. He may be left with a selection headache up front, however, will all three recognised forwards be contributing well in the last few weeks.

Barrow will be able to call on their new signing, Nathan Waterston, who joined the club from Workington earlier in the week.

Last Time Out

When these two sides met earlier in the season, it was this weekend’s hosts that came away with all three points.

Jared Hodgkiss netted his first goal for the club on this occasion, before Elliott Durrell doubled the lead with a rising shot into the top corner.

Macclesfield moved up to second with the result, whilst Barrow remained one point behind Guiseley in 21st.

One To Watch: Grant Holt

Barrow will have a number of former Silkmen players on show, but the man to watch remains much-travelled forward, Grant Holt.

A player that began his career at Rochdale, Holt is most remembered for his spell as a Norwich City player. Winning back to back promotions during his time at Carrow Road, Holt became a firm fans favourite before eventually moving on to Wigan Athletic in 2013.

Three years and three loan spells away from the DW Stadium followed before he departed to join Hibernian in 2016. From there, he had spells at his former club, Rochdale, Hibernian and Kings Lynn Town before joining Barrow as a player-coach in November 2017.

He currently wears the number 16 shirt at Holker Street.
