Macclesfield Town Football Club are delighted to announce the signing of former Dover and Torquay forward Tyrone Marsh.
The 23-year-old athletic striker joins on a one-year deal after leaving Dover this summer and is John Askey’s second signing in the last 24 hours following the arrival of Elliott Durrall.
Marsh began his career with Oxford United and had loan spells with the likes of Aylesbury, Staines Town and Welling to aid his development.
After impressing during his loan spell with Welling and scoring nine goals in 21 starts, Marsh made a permanent move to Ebbsfleet in December 2014 before joining Torquay the following summer.
Marsh certainly caught the eye during his time in Devon, scoring seven goals in 11 National League appearances before joining Dover for an undisclosed fee in January 2016.
An unfortunate knee injury limited his opportunities at Dover and Marsh, who spent the closing weeks of the 2016/17 campaign on loan at Welling will now look to recapture his previous prolific fifth tier form with the Silkmen.
Marsh made his Macclesfield debut in this afternoon’s game with Derby and you’ll be able to see an interview with our new forward on our Silkmen TV YouTube channel over weekend.
