Defender Keith Lowe takes a look ahead to Saturday’s game with Leyton Orient at the Brisbane Road Stadium. The O’s come into the game in 17th place in the National League table.

Speaking to SilkmenTV, Lowe said: “It’s another tough game against a team that has been relegated so they will be looking to get right up there in the table and knock us off our perch. It is down to us to stay there and everyone else to try and catch us.

“It’s another game on a Saturday where we go out there and try and win.”

After several players impressed in Saturday’s FA Cup victory against Stourbridge, there will be a pleasant selection headache for manager John Askey, and Lowe was keen to stress the importance of having such a competitive squad.

"I think you have to look at the short-term goals and try and win every game that you step into and I am just looking to keep my place in the team.

"It makes no difference what team we play, we are really strong throughout. The lads that haven’t played as much will be feeling really unlucky because we have a really good squad of players, and that showed on Saturday."
