Keith Lowe has said that Macclesfield will approach Saturday’s encounter with Wrexham the same way as any other despite the game being broadcast on BT Sport.
Lowe scored his first goal for the Silkmen in last Saturday’s victory over Hartlepool but now his attentions have turned to this top of the table clash.
A number of players made their Macclesfield debuts against Wrexham on the opening day of this season, including Lowe and he took some time out to speak to www.mtfc.co.uk ahead of the clash.
“Wrexham’s another really important game and it’s going to be a tough one and a tight one.
“We know what they’re about and they’ll be looking for a bit of revenge after we beat them on the opening day.
“It’s about taking it one game at a time, obviously we know more about them and they know more about us but so it might be a little bit more tactical, but we approach it the same way as any other game and we’re looking for three points.
“The TV cameras makes it a little more special but when they’re there you don’t take any notice of them whilst you’re out on the pitch, it’s a game of football and you go out to do what we do every week.”
With both side’s flying in the league this season, Lowe also said the Macclesfield squad have to keep pushing themselves for results.
“We’ve just got to keep ticking over and keep pushing everyone in the squad as far as we can go. You can’t rest on your laurels in this league and you’ve got to see how far you can go.”
