Boss John Askey is once again targeting building another winning run as the Silkmen prepare to take on AFC Fylde this evening.

Macclesfield go in to the game on the back of an impressive away win at Solihull Moors on Saturday, a third win in four National League fixtures.

Now they will turn their attentions to the visit AFC Fylde tonight and Askey is targeting home points but he is fully aware that his team will face a tough game tonight.

Writing in these evening’s programme notes, he says: “We know that we will face another difficult game tonight. AFC Fylde are a side that have impressed me since their promotion.

“They have a healthy budget for this division and I would think that they will be in contention at the right end of the division come the end of the season.

“I’ve made no secret of the fact that we want a good home record this season and hopefully we can get back on track this evening.”
