Macclesfield will be looking to bounce back to victory in tomorrow’s FA Cup tie with Forest Green Rovers.
Despite going into the game on the back of two defeats, performances in the past two games haven’t warranted losses for John Askey’s men.
In the last game against Eastleigh, Mitch Hancox, Shwan Jalal and Jared Hodgkiss all returned to the starting eleven, but who will get the nod ahead of tomorrow’s match?
John Askey has been speaking to mtfc.co.uk with his thoughts ahead of team selection.
“I think we have to look at changes. We’ve lost the last two games, so we have to have a look at one or two players to come in, just to freshen it up a little bit.
“The players that have come in have all performed well, and we saw that against Stourbridge with the likes of Scott Burgess, Tyrone Marsh, Kieran Kennedy and Noe Baba coming in and performing well.
“They’re all lads that can play at this level, so I don’t have any worries about who to play.”
John Askey also went on to say that despite coming into the game on the back of two defeats the performances from his team have been good.
“Not only are we second in the league but we’re playing well.
“Against Dagenham, I’m not saying we should’ve definitely won the match, but I thought we were very much in the game and on Saturday against Eastleigh we were the better team and we played some really good stuff. If we can keep doing that and performing well, then the results will keep coming.”
