Goalkeeper Shwan Jalal is looking forward to beginning another FA Cup run as Macclesfield Town take on Stourbridge in Saturday’s FA Cup fourth round.
Shwan spoke to SilkmenTV ahead of the game and explained that the Silkmen will be preparing for the game just like any league fixtutre.
He said: “It is a great opportunity, because of the cup run last season we want to repeat that again. I wasn’t a part of it so I would love to be part of a good run this year.
"We cannot go into the game on Saturday taking it lightly because they have good history in the cup so we have to approach it like we would a league game.
“We have won the last four and we want to make it five in a row no matter what game it is whether it’s a friendly, a cup game or a league game we want to keep the winning run going.”
Understandably Saturday’s opponents Stourbridge will be looking to take a National League scalp.
“Obviously they see it as a big game for them because financially it is a good incentive so I think their players are going to be up for the game and we are going to their place so it is going to be intimidating so we have got to treat the game with respect and see how it goes.”
“I think the attitude of the players here is that they want to be playing every game and they want to be winning every game so it is not make or break but it is about keeping the run going.”
