John Rooney

The younger brother of Everton and ex-England International Wayne Rooney, John Rooney began his youth career at Everton, before moving to Macclesfield Town in 2002. He spent six years developing at the club before making his first professional appearance on the 24th March 2008, scoring his first goal against Dagenham & Redbridge in March 2009. After leaving the Silkmen in 2012, Rooney had a number of spells at different clubs, including in America, before going on loan to Guiseley whilst at Wrexham. He soon made an impact scoring his first goal in the last minute of a 2-1 victory over Sutton United.

Andy Haworth

The 29-year-old is something of a journeyman with appearances at 14 clubs to his name, including Blackburn Rovers, Bury and Notts County. His spells at both Macclesfield and Guiseley will be fresh in the memory, signing for the Silkmen in February 2017 following his release from Barrow but was released from the Silkmen once his contract had come to an end in the summer. He signed for Guiseley, and made his debut in the 2-1 defeat for the Lions against Macclesfield Town in October 2017.
