On Saturday, Billy O'Brien made his Macclesfield Town debut, replacing the injured Shwan Jalal.
The former Manchester City youth captain and St Mirren loanee was called into action straight away and helped the Silkmen keep a clean sheet and their unbeaten start to the season with some smart stops.
After the game Billy spoke to mtfc.co.uk about making his debut.
"I enjoyed it," he said. "It was a bit of a scruffy game really, they were a difficult team to face.
"There’s a really good set of boys in there. It was a bit of a quick turnaround to play, but the lads have been really welcoming to me and it's good to play.
"I've only been here for two games, but the fans have been brilliant both games. We'll need them this season with us aiming for the top."
With a tough trip to Sutton tonight, Billy is ready for the call to join the Silkmen defence who have only conceded 1 goal so far this season.
"It's a tough place to go, another team who'll scrap for everything, they do the basics right but we'll go down there, do the best we can do and hopefully get the three points."
"I’m ready if called upon, if not then Shwan's fit and playing I'll be supporting him."
