John Askey says he was pleased to see his side pick up a point when they travelled to Bromley.
Macclesfield went a goal ahead at Hayes Lane, but ended up drawing the game after battling tough conditions of the 3G pitch.
Nonetheless, Askey says he was happy to pick up a point, and didn’t see it as two points dropped.
He said: “It’s a good point. I thought first half we were excellent, we probably should’ve scored one or two more. It’s difficult conditions to play on and in the second half we faced a slop on the pitch that they used to their advantage. Overall I was pleased to get the point in the end.”
John did question the performance of the referee however, after seeing Bromley players seem to target the booked Kieran Kennedy throughout the game: We were up against it at times but we’ve got the point and we’re still top.”
He finished: “Hopefully everybody can turn out for us on Boxing Day and really get behind us.”
