Macclesfield Town return to National League action on Saturday with a trip to Bromley, hoping to retain their spot as National League leaders.
Bromley will be tough opposition for the Silkmen and their artificial pitch poses a different type of challenge for the squad.
John Askey spoke to SilkmenTV ahead of the game, to discuss what he expected from the London-based club.
He said: “Each game we start again. I say that to the players, we take each game as it comes and will give everything in the Bromley game and see where it takes us. That is what we have got to do over the Christmas period because we know if we can have a good Christmas it will set us up for the rest of the season and put us in a good position.
Entering the game in 8th place in the National League table, just one point off of the play-offs, Bromley will provide another tough test for Macclesfield Town, currently sitting two points clear at the top.
“They have transferred over to 3G and their results have improved. They have been able to bring one or two players in and they are another London club that are on the up. I am sure come the end of the season they will be there or thereabouts.”
