As Macclesfield Town’s 2016/17 season comes to an end, we still have time to look over this week’s edition of Three Things Missed with all the latest transfer news and gossip coming from the National League.Five Sign On At TranmereTranmere Rovers have managed to resign some of their main players for next season as the likes of Adam Kirby and Adam Buxton are retained by the club.Kirby has been at Prenton Park since 2012 and has made over 100 appearances for Rovers as has Buxton who has made over 150.Evan Gumbs, Mitchell Duggan and Liam Ridehalgh have also put pen-to-paper for the new National League campaign.Braintree Appoint New ManagerBraintree Town have appointed former midfielder, Brad Quinton, as the club’s new manager.Quinton, 38, currently holds the record for the most appearances with The Irons with 546 games to his name.The new manager will now take charge of Braintree in the National League South as they were relegated from the National League.Effiong Signs For WokingWoking have signed striker Inih Effiong from fellow National League side Barrow following his release from the club.Effiong scored one goal in seven games for The Bluebirds after he signed for them in January.The former Biggleswade man has been described to have “great physical attributes” by new manager, Anthony Limbrick, as the 26-year old prepares to join up with his new teammates for pre-season.
