England C 2-1 Panjab FASolihull Moors’ Damson Park hosted the non-league Three Lions with Darren McQueen of recently promoted Ebbsfleet United bagging both goals for England.McQueen spoke to Sikh TV of his delight at scoring his first goals for Paul Fairclough’s side.He said:“To score two goals on my debut after getting promoted with my parent club is a dream. I didn’t do myself any harm today so hopefully will play for England C again.”It’s been a good few weeks for McQueen after scoring the promotion clinching goal against Chelmsford City in the National League South promotion final.Solihull Moors Make Trio Of SigningsSolihull Moors have made their first signings of the summer agreeing deals for Stourbridge’s strike force of Luke Benbow and Chris Lait as well as Tamworth’s captain Paul Green.Benbow, 26, was particularly impressive last season netting 32 times in the Northern Premier League and another seven in the Glassboys FA Cup run.Ex-Aston Villa academy player Paul Green is versatile, comfortable in either defence or midfield and is looking forward to beginning his Moors career.Speaking to their club website, Green said: “I played in the same Tamworth team as Liam McDonald and his vision of the future here is something I would like to part of. It is a youthful team full of quality but my experience should help.”Hartlepool Announce New ManagerNewly-relegated Hartlepool United have announced Craig Harrison as their new manager.After an injury ended Harrison’s playing career which included spells at Middlesbrough and Crystal Palace he turned to coaching. He has enjoyed plenty of success in his management career so far, clinching his sixth Welsh Premier League title with The New Saints earlier this year.
