December saw the completion of the Community Scheme’s 'Placed Based' activity programme with several new and innovative activities having taken place.
This new service is aimed to positively address health issues such as obesity, lack of physical fitness, and mental wellbeing on a very local level.
With the grant funding support from The National League Trust, Macclesfield Town Community Sports Trust were able to create weekly sessions and bring new services to the area.
Community Manager Paul McGuire stated: “This has to be one of a long string of programmes we have run thanks to The National League Trust, where their financial support aids us in getting new activities off the ground; we then add our own stamp to things and run numerous community focused programmes right across Cheshire East.
“With current and new projects in the pipeline 2018 looks set to be another productive year in fulfilling our charitable aims and objectives”.
