I would like to take this opportunity to thank all Macclesfield Towns fans for their fantastic support during the first-half of the season. Like myself, I am sure that you are enjoying being top of the National League.
Off the pitch, I am sorry to see a number staff changes at the Football Club in recent weeks.
As our Commercial Manager, Dan Ackerley oversaw a number of new sponsors become associated with the Football Club and did a great job of managing the Silkmen 'Commercial family'. His input and support will always be welcome at the Moss Rose.
Martyn Irvine also worked extremely hard for the Football Club in his role as Youth Engagement Officer. He established, what became our u21 side and his work managing the Project 21 youth football project, supported by Richard Butcher's parents, Gail and Butch was much appreciated by everyone who participated, as was his involvement on match days and events like the FIFA night.
Finally, Elli Denton, who took over from Helen and Paul Bona with the management of all our match day and non-match day catering and events, made everyone feel very welcome and put on exceptional events in the Mcllroy Suite, including the recent Christmas party, which were enjoyed by everyone who attended.
They will all be missed around the Football Club and we wish them well.
Fulfilling these roles is a vital part of the Football Club and we are now actively speaking to a number of people about taking up positions at the Club.
Returning to matters on the pitch, whilst the team are in a fantastic position in the League, it is as important as ever to maintain and indeed increase our support, so please continue to give your backing to John and the team.
Finally, to all of our supporters wherever you are in the UK, or indeed around the world I hope you and your family have a very happy Christmas.
