Macclesfield Town welcomed a very special guest this May Bank Holiday, as 28-year-old Nathan Richardson visited the Moss Rose as part of an epic mission which will see him run to each of the 92 stadiums within the top four divisions.
Just for those of you who are wondering whether or not there was a typo in the opening paragraph, we can assure you that there isn't and Nathan will be covering over 2,500 miles on foot to each of the ninety-two stadiums.
By his own admission, the challenge is "bonkers" - yet to achieve great things, one always has to set their boundaries just beyond the realms of what you think is possible.
There is no doubt that Nathan has certainly done that, as he takes on a challenge which represents a mammoth crusade in terms of physical and mental endeavour.
The mission began back on 7th March, when Nathan began his quest at Old Trafford - the home of his beloved Manchester United.
In the shadow of the famous Theatre of Dreams, the former soldier raised the curtain on his own epic solo performance and as he took to the streets, his inspirational story gathered pace almost by the day.
In a gruelling mission which is expected to take around six months to complete, Nathan is hoping to raise £9,200 in total - an average of £100 for each stadium he visits.
Proceeds will be split between The Joshua Wilson Brain Tumour Charity, otherwise known as SuperJosh and the mental health charity, Mind.
Before Nathan set off on his next jaunt to Crewe Alexandra, we managed to grab a few words with him to explain more -
Everyone here at Macclesfield Town wishes Nathan the very best of luck on his incredible journey!
