The Silkmen now face a couple of tough trips on the road - first up it is Leyton Orient this Saturday.
Here is everything you need to know if you’re making the trip to The Breyer Group Stadium this weekend.
The Breyer Group Stadium
Distance from Moss Rose: 187 miles
Estimated travel time: 3 hours, 30 minutes
About the Ground:
Formerly known as Brisbane Road, the stadium has been home to Leyton Orient since 1937. However, that could’ve been vastly different if their Olympic Stadium application was accepted, with West Ham eventually adopting the London 2012 venue as their home. The stadium has a capacity of 9,271 and has been extensively re-developed in recent years. Funding from this came from selling part of the Brisbane Road site to a property developer, who has filled corners of the stadium with residential apartments.
Tickets for the fixture are available from the Moss Rose ticket office now, with an increase in price if bought on the day. This matchday price is in brackets.
Adult - £20 (£22)
65 and Over - £18 (£20)
18-24* - £12 (These tickets are advance only)
Under 18s - £1 (£1)
*This category also applies to students, unemployed supporters and current employees of the armed forces or emergency services.
There is limited street parking around the stadium however you should be wary of Residents Only Parking Zone’s in some streets. The nearest recognised car parks are all around a 20 minute walk away. One of them is the Stanley Road Car Park which costs £3 for 4 hours and can be found at the postcode E10 7FF. Alternatively there is the Church Lane Car Park at the postcode E11 4QN, at a price of £2.40 for 4 hours.
Food & Drink:
There is restaurants aplenty near to the ground with a Burger King and KFC just a short walk away from the stadium and the Asda supermarket. Additionally, there is a Tesco Express, Sainsbury’s Local and another KFC on the road next to the ground, the A112.
The Supporters Club will accept away fans however there is 200 capacity so get there early to avoid disappointment. This is located in the newly named Justin Edinburgh Stand. Alternatively, the Leyton Technical Pub on High Road will accept Silkmen fans.
Have safe journey and let's bring back three important points!
