Silkmen Reiterate That Discrimination In Any Form Has No Place In Football

24 February 2020

Macclesfield Town are committed to treating everybody equally and in doing so, ensuring that everyone can enjoy their football without fear of abuse and discrimination.
Abuse and discrimination of any kind is intolerable and does not have any part to play either here at the Moss Rose or when we travel around the country to contest away fixtures.
On Saturday, the vast majority of our supporters respected this impeccably - as they always do. We were let down by a very small minority however, who acted in a manner which has been rightfully reported to us by Kick It Out.
Clearly this saddens us greatly and we will be investigating these isolated incidents which unquestionably let our club down.
If anyone has any information regarding this, then please contact in the strictest confidence.
Anyone found to be in breach of our Fan Behaviour Policy in this regard is liable to receive a ban from attending future games, as well as criminal proceedings should the offence be deemed to warrant it.
