Ben Tollitt Arrives At The Moss Rose

11 February 2020

Macclesfield Town are delighted to announce the signing of 25-year-old winger Ben Tollitt, who joins the club on a deal that will initially run until the end of the 2019/20 campaign.
Ben is a pacey winger, who unquestionably has an eye for goal.
After progressing through the youth ranks at Everton, Ben joined Widnes in the summer of 2013.
He proved to be a prolific force in front of goal for The Whites - scoring eighteen goals in thirty-nine appearances.
A short spell at Skelmersdale United followed, before Ben made the move to Portsmouth in July 2015.
Making his professional debut in a 2 - 1 League Cup victory over Derby County, Ben went on to make twelve appearances for Pompey - scoring once.
A loan move to Tranmere Rovers ensued, as Ben scored three times in ten appearances for the Birkenhead outfit and this convinced them to secure his services on a permanent basis in December 2016.
Ben then moved to Wrexham on a short-term loan deal two years later, where he scored four goals in thirteen appearances for The Red Dragons.
Signing for Blackpool last summer, Ben once again completed a short-term loan deal at Wrexham before being released by The Tangerines at the end of last month.
Ben will claim the number eight shirt here at the Moss Rose and we would like to wish him every success during his time with us.
