Macclesfield Football Academy Resume Training

1 August 2020

Following on from an enforced four month break, Macclesfield Football Academy in partnership with All Hallows Catholic College resumed training ahead of the 2020/21 AOC League campaign.

After a long period away from playing football, MFA players were able to start their pre-season training - after the government and FA announced that training could resume with up to thirty people involved.

The training allowed the coaches to see twenty-six players for two hours at South Park.

The enjoyable session consisted of some light running around the park and some football drills to get the players back into action. With six players leaving sixth-form and going on to University or employment, it has opened up an opportunity for some new year 12's to join the Academy.

MFA are now embarking on their fourth year as a football academy and despite numerous close-misses, are looking to secure their first league title during the 2020/21 season.

The partnership allows individuals to study a variety of A levels, as well as compete in the AOC Colleges League for Macclesfield Town on Wednesday afternoons.
