With the new campaign fast approaching, the Moss Rose saw the first stage of it's annual renovation work completed yesterday.
In what proved to be a long but rewarding day, the pitch was firstly graze mowed, before sixty tonnes of sand was lay down.
After a short break, pre-seed nourishment was applied before twenty bags of seed were sown before the day was out.
But that is only the start of the operation to get our pitch looking in great shape ahead of the big kick-off.
The sprinklers were switched on at just after 07:00 this morning, as we keep a watchful eye over the development of the new grass seeds on a daily basis.
Three additional feeds will be applied, which will promote growth further over the course of the next five months. At which point this will be renewed to cover us until the culmination of the 2020/21 campaign.
The Club would like to thank everyone who assisted with this yesterday - in particular, Will Kidd from Fine Turf Services whose help proved to be invaluable throughout.
